Schulte Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading precision manufacturing company seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about driving productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.
The Assembly Supervisor will oversee daily assembly operations, supervise and mentor production personnel, and ensure customer orders move efficiently through the manufacturing process while meeting quality and delivery expectations.
Location: Beverly, MA
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: $35.00 - $38.00/hour DOE
Status: Direct Hire
Responsibilities
- Lead daily assembly operations to achieve production schedules and delivery commitments.
- Supervise, train, mentor, and develop assembly personnel, including group leaders.
- Manage workflow, staffing assignments, and production priorities to maximize efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Drive productivity, quality, and process improvements throughout the department.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, housekeeping, and operational standards.
- Monitor department performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide recommendations regarding wage adjustments.
- Support and participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain tooling and equipment maintenance procedures.
- Train employees on proper assembly techniques, machine operation, and tooling usage.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage production activities and monitor schedule attainment.
- Maintain a strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing documentation systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges and improve operational performance.
- Work overtime as needed to meet customer and production requirements.
- High School Diploma required; some college coursework preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP or MRP manufacturing systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, make decisions under pressure, and maintain a sense of urgency.
- Detail-oriented with a strong customer-focused mindset.
- IPC-A-610, J-STD, and IPC-620 certification or experience.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Medical device manufacturing experience.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and move throughout a manufacturing facility.
- Frequently use hands and arms for reaching and handling materials.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Visual acuity sufficient to inspect products, read blueprints, and utilize precision measuring instruments.
- Manual dexterity required for precision manufacturing environments.
