Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity with a growing manufacturing company in Franklin, NH. The CNC Engineer will be responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing CNC equipment to manufacture high-precision aluminum components while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the production process.
Salary 75K - 95K (DOE)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for aluminum extrusion machining using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360.
- Set up and operate CNC mills and routers to machine aluminum extrusions to tight tolerances.
- Collaborate with quality and production teams to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for aluminum materials.
- Perform first-article inspections and verify conformance to quality standards.
- Maintain and calibrate CNC equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
- Document setups, processes, and best practices to support repeatability and employee training.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and manufacturing standards.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining and programming experience.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with CNC programming and CAM software.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within an aluminum extrusion manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience optimizing machining processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
Work Environment
This position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments. Employees may be exposed to machinery, noise, temperature variations, and other industrial conditions while performing duties in production areas.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, and move throughout a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to repeatedly lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work safely around forklifts, machinery, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels.
