Job Description
Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Tool Maintenance Technician for a well-established manufacturing company. This is a hands-on maintenance position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machine tools and other production equipment to minimize downtime and keep operations running safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC machine maintenance and repair experience with strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay: $32.00–$38.00/hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair CNC machine tools, manual machinery, and other production equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Create and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Coordinate with outside service technicians and vendors when additional resources are required.
- Identify and maintain an inventory of consumable maintenance supplies.
- Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts to minimize equipment downtime.
- Monitor equipment condition and identify potential problems before they result in production interruptions.
- Assist in preparing the annual maintenance budget for supplies, outside services, and training.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following OSHA and company safety requirements.
- Perform additional maintenance and facility-related duties as needed.
- 5+ years of CNC machine tool troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair experience required.
- 5+ years of general industrial maintenance and repair experience.
- Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
- Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify problems, collect information, determine root causes, and implement solutions.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical school certificate, associate degree, or other relevant technical training is a plus.
This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position. Candidates must be able to:
- Climb and safely maneuver around production machinery.
- Climb ladders and perform work at heights.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Regularly stand, kneel, bend, reach, and move throughout a manufacturing facility.
- Lift and move items weighing 50+ pounds.
- Have sufficient visual ability to safely inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Occasional extended hours, schedule flexibility, or Saturday work may be required depending on production and maintenance needs.
