Job Description
Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking a CNC Machinist Setup. Opportunities also available in Amesbury. These are 90-day temp to perm opportunity. Will consider a direct hire for the right fit. Excellent benefits offered once perm!
$25.50+ p/h DOE
This position will allow the successful candidate an opportunity to work on a range of large CNC Machining Centers. This person will be responsible for producing an extensive variety of items from simple job-shop projects to extensive machining for parts. Completion of documentation (job travelers, operator check sheets, inspection reports, etc.)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Set up and operate vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers
- Edit programs for multiple operations
- Load and set up all tooling, mounting, leveling and aligning parts to ensure dimensions are obtainable
- Value engineer jobs in the process, communicating with project managers regarding methods of manufacturing and estimates of production times
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork is a must
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years CNC machining experience
- Thorough working knowledge of blueprint reading
- Working knowledge of tool calibration
- Strong math skills
- CAD/CAM software and conventional machining center experience a plus
- Ability to use material handling equipment if needed
