Position Overview
The CNC Milling Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components. This role requires strong attention to detail, blueprint reading, and the ability to maintain quality and efficiency throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines per job specifications and blueprints
- Load and secure raw materials on machine beds
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Document production data and report any issues or deviations
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot and improve processes
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining instructions
- Familiarity with machining tools and measurement instruments
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Preferred:
- CNC machining certification or technical training
- Experience with CNC programming and setup
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software
- Knowledge of ISO, Six Sigma, or quality control standards
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs
