Job Description
Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking 2nd Shift CNC Setup Machinist for our clients on the North Shore! These are 90-day temp to perm opportunity. Excellent benefits offered once perm!
Hours and Pay Rate:
2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Pay Starts: $23.75+ DOE
This position will allow the successful candidate an opportunity to work on a range of large CNC Machining Centers. This person will be responsible for producing an extensive variety of items from simple job-shop projects to extensive machining for parts. Completion of documentation (job travelers, operator check sheets, inspection reports, etc.)
Responsibilities and Duties

Setup and operate high-speed 5 axis CNC machines and waterjets.

Setup complicated jobs
-
4 axis wire EDM
-
HAAS machines with 4th and 5th axis capabilities

Fix G and M code when needed for fine tuning

On board programming

Able to run 4 machines at a time

Able to indicate and edge find machine datums.

Maintain machine cleanliness and the work area 5S standards.

Accurately complete required paperwork in timely manner.

Work in compliance with both Quality and Safety Systems at all times.

Complies with all policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct.
Qualifications and Skills

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent, required.

2+ years of CNC machine experience, required.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to quality and detail oriented.

Ability to read dimensional drawings, and follow written procedures.

Ability to follow detailed setup instructions and process controls.

Ability to read Vernier’s and micrometers.
-
Ability to do in process inspections using pin gauges, micrometers and other measuring tools.

Proficient mathematical and analytical skills required.

Must have the ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance
