As an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in assembling and ensuring the quality of our standard and custom product lines. This is not a job where you will be sitting at a table all day; you will engage in a variety of tasks from electro-mechanical (EM) work to adhesive applications, calibrations, kitting, packing, and receiving raw materials. You will also have access to a small, supervised machine shop for any additional needs.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8-5pm or 7:30-4:30pm
Compensation: $24.00-$26.00 DOE
Responsibilities to include:
- Assembly of mechanical devices that make up company’s standard and custom line of products,
- Board level soldering, connecting & wiring electronic components,
- Checking optical components, alignment, & testing,
- Assisting Engineering with product testing & development,
- Inspection of incoming mechanical components,
- Ability to update and follow product build documentation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with electro-mechanical assembly,
- Understanding of manufacturing documentation,
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word,
- IPC soldering certificate or equivalent preferred but not necessary,
- Comfortable with measuring tools, precision alignment,
- Familiarity with wiring and cable assembly,
- Familiarity with CNC machining a plus
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Excellent hand dexterity and good eyesight are essential
- Ability to work with small cable strands soldered to connectors
- Versatility to switch between different tasks such as EM work, adhesive work, and calibration
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills
