Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
-
Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs)
-
Conduct mechanical, visual, and electrical inspections (incoming, in-process, and final) for cable assemblies and legacy products
-
Maintain accurate quality records using quality data collection software or logs
-
Transfer product information using ERP systems
-
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with quality standards
-
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
Skills & Qualifications:
-
Proficient in using measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, protractors, depth gauges, microscopes, optical measuring equipment, rulers, tape measures, and gage pins
-
Ability to read and follow procedures/work instructions in English
-
Intermediate knowledge of 2D engineering drawings
-
Experience with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems
-
Strong communication skills to interact with team members at all levels
-
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
-
Solid understanding of advanced engineering drawings
-
Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, QPL, and visual inspection of connectors and cable assemblies
-
Familiarity with test equipment such as Cirrus, ohm meters, or power supplies
-
IPC 620 certification preferred
-
Prior experience with FAI preparation and review is required
Education & Experience Requirements:
-
1–3 years of relevant experience or a technical certificate in an engineering discipline
-
1+ years working with FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) preparation and review
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 40–45 lbs.
