Job Description
Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Machinist for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established precision manufacturing company in Reading, MA. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who enjoys working with a variety of equipment to manufacture, maintain, and repair precision tooling used in production environments.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on machining experience and a strong understanding of precision tooling, molds, and dies.
Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
$25.00 - $38.00+/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a variety of machine shop equipment, including:
- Conventional and CNC milling machines
- Conventional and CNC lathes
- Surface grinders
- Conventional EDM equipment
- Manufacture precision tooling, including:
- Injection molds
- Stamping dies
- Production fixtures
- Assembly fixtures
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on molds and stamping dies
- Troubleshoot and complete minor repairs on molds and stamping dies
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous machining experience required
- Experience operating conventional machining equipment
- CNC milling and CNC lathe experience preferred
- Stamping die experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Commitment to producing high-quality work
