Hours:
7:30am - 5:00pm
Pay Rate:
$25.00 p/h
Responsibilities:
- Take direction from the Lab Manager on establishing priorities on mixing printing ink and ink-related materials.
- Match colors accurately according to specifications.
- Operate laboratory equipment such as scales, mixers, shakers, mill, etc.
- Follow batch tickets to ensure precise measurements and mixing of components.
- Operate the ink dispenser using batch tickets and computer terminal to dispense ink components into drums and pails for mixing as finished goods.
- Print out labels for drums and pails.
- Assist in completing required paperwork including batch tickets, log sheets.
- Follow company practices for disposal of trash and recyclables.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must not be color blind. Must be able to perceive color.
- Proficiency in basic math including multiplication and division.
- Speak English, or English as a second language.
- Ability to complete basic Production forms in English.
- Be able to use basic math skills to manually weigh out raw components on scale as provided on a batch ticket.
- Physical stamina: must be able to repeatedly lift 50+ pounds at a time.
- Capable of repeated standing, walking, and bending.
- Ability to use a computer for label and form printing.
- Comfortable working independently and part of a team.
- Makes safety a priority.
