Job Description
Schulte Staffing is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for one of our valued clients. This is an exciting full-time opportunity for a skilled and motivated professional to support production efforts, enhance efficiency, and ensure high product quality in a precision manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, with strong problem-solving skills and a solid background in CNC machining, shop practices, and engineering support. This role collaborates cross-functionally with teams across manufacturing, quality, and engineering to drive continuous improvement and production success.
Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and resolve machinery and process issues on the shop floor

Operate and support a variety of CNC lathes, machining centers, gear-cutting, and related equipment

Work closely with engineers, quality teams, and operators to optimize productivity and quality

Participate in root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions

Assist in training operators on procedures and task requirements
Key Competencies:
-
Proficient in CAD/solid modeling; familiar with engineering drawings and standards

Experience with CNC mills, lathes; gear-cutting equipment a plus

Strong knowledge of general machine shop and precision measuring practices

Solid shop math and machining principles knowledge

Good computer skills (MS Office) and ability to work independently

Strong communication skills
Education and Experience:
-
Associate’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)

2+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience
-
MRP/ERP system experience preferred
Work Environment:
Split between office and manufacturing settings. Frequent use of machinery and shop tools required.
Physical Demands:

Ability to inspect parts closely (corrected visual acuity required)

Manual dexterity and ability to perform precision work

Frequent standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and shop floor activity
Position Type:
Full-time, salaried. Monday–Friday, standard business hours. Occasional travel may be required.
