Job Description
Schulte Staffing Solutions has a direct hire opportunity for a Janitor to support facility maintenance in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the facility and equipment.

Essential Functions
-
Ensure the facility is maintained in a neat and orderly appearance

Responsible for the safe operation of the facility
-
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
Competencies
-
Prior experience on a cleaning or housekeeping crew
-
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
-
Apply common sense and understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions
-
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
-
Experience with various janitorial maintenance tasks
-
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
-
Ability to determine and properly use a wide variety of personal protective equipment
-
Basic arithmetic skills
-
Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner without constant supervision

Ability to perform assigned janitorial tasks without losing track of details
-
Operate janitorial equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and cleaning machines
Work Environment
This role operates in a professional manufacturing and office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers, as well as janitorial equipment.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:

Frequently required to sit, stand, move about the shop floor, talk, hear, bend, and reach with hands and arms

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Ability to squat, kneel, bend, or twist occasionally
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Required Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 Years janitorial experience.
