Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Line Leader to join our production team. As a Line Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the production line, ensuring smooth workflow, consistent product quality, and adherence to safety and manufacturing standards.
Working Hours and Pay Rate:
- Monday – Friday
- 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- $18.00 - $20.00 DOE
Team Leadership:
- Supervise Line Workers to ensure they adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including proper dress code and safety guidelines.
- Provide fair and equal delegation of tasks during downtime to maintain productivity.
- Assist Line Workers as needed to ensure line efficiency and adherence to schedules.
- Monitor component levels and coordinate replenishment with the Filling Room Facilitator.
- Track product tank levels and report tank changeovers to the mechanics for timely replenishment.
- Ensure proper execution of job folders, including case quantities and correct component usage.
- Follow the production schedule and adjust only with management approval.
- Complete pre-run checklists and obtain Quality Control approval before starting production.
- Monitor product quality throughout production, including fill levels, label height, and overall consistency.
- Report any deviations to Quality Assurance and collaborate to implement corrections.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with customer guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly production area, ensuring all filling lines remain free of debris and trip hazards.
- Ensure unacceptable carts are kept in a clean and organized manner.
- Supervise end-of-day cleanup to ensure the production area is left spotless and orderly.
- Retain basic knowledge of machine functions for all filling equipment.
- Work closely with mechanics to address machinery malfunctions and minimize downtime.
- Perform all duties in alignment with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Act as a liaison between team members, mechanics, and facilitators to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with filling equipment are preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and a clean, organized workspace.
