Job Description
Schulte Staffing Solutions is actively seeking a Shop Floor Janitor for a manufacturing company. This is a temporary position and a great opportunity for someone looking for a short-term assignment while earning competitive pay in a stable work environment.
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the facility while supporting daily operations as directed by the Facility Maintenance Supervisor.
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, normal business hours
Responsibilities
- Maintain the facility in a neat, clean, and orderly condition
- Perform routine janitorial and housekeeping duties throughout the manufacturing facility
- Safely operate janitorial equipment, including floor scrubbers, buffers, and other cleaning machines
- Empty trash and maintain waste disposal areas
- Clean production, warehouse, office, and common areas as assigned
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report maintenance concerns
- Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Complete assigned tasks independently and in a timely manner
- Perform miscellaneous facility maintenance duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Basic math skills
- Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment is preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the workday
- Ability to perform physically demanding cleaning tasks
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to complete a pre-employment physical
- Must pass an 11-panel drug screen, including THC
This temporary assignment is ideal for someone seeking short-term employment, between jobs, retired but looking for extra income, or anyone interested in gaining experience in a manufacturing environment.
