Manufacturing Engineer - Process Planning
Job Description
We’re hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in Beverly, MA for a direct hire role paying $85K–$115K. This position is ideal for someone with 5+ years supporting CNC machining operations, strong process planning experience, and a passion for improving efficiency, quality, and production flow in a precision manufacturing environment.
Schedule: Monday–Friday (7:00 AM start)
Salary: $85K–$115K (DOE)
What You’ll Do
- Review product designs for manufacturability, tolerances, and cost drivers
- Develop and define manufacturing processes for components and assemblies
- Create process routings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) in ERP systems
- Design or source fixtures, gages, and tooling
- Review and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Collaborate with engineering, QC, and production teams to improve performance
- Drive process improvements, productivity, and product flow
- Lead and support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions
What You Bring
- 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience supporting CNC machining
- Strong knowledge of machine shop practices, workholding, and inspection methods
- Experience with CAD/solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred)
- ERP/MRP experience (BOMs, routings, documentation)
- Strong understanding of drawing and dimensioning standards
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally
Work Environment
- Combination of office and shop floor
- Hands-on involvement with production and machining processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (export compliance requirement)
