This position is Monday - Friday / 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Pay Range: $35.00 - $40.00p/h DOE
Summary/Objective
We are seeking a highly skilled Metrology Quality Technician responsible for creating, validating, and troubleshooting CMM programs and performing precision inspections, including First Article Inspections (FAIs). The technician will work closely with engineers and quality teams to ensure products meet all dimensional and geometric requirements, while also supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the quality inspection process.
Job Functions include:
- Develop and modify CMM programs using part drawings and models to perform in-process and final inspections.
- Perform precision dimensional inspections and generate detailed inspection reports.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9102 and customer requirements.
- Support Quality Engineers in analyzing inspection results and addressing non-conformances.
- Create and amend inspection plans to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify efficiency gaps and implement improvements.
- Use various inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and vision systems.
- 3+ years of experience in a metrology or quality inspection role.
- Proficiency in high-precision dimensional inspection and CMM programming.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (ANSI/ASME Y14.5) and the ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across departments.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with precision part inspection.
- CMM programming experience required.
