Pay: 75,000K – 90,000K DOE
Summary/Objective
The Test Engineer I plays a key role in maintaining, calibrating, and improving test equipment and processes. This role focuses on optimizing workflow, developing fixtures, supporting quality improvements, and ensuring safe, efficient, ergonomic work environments.
Job Functions Include:
• Maintain, calibrate, and install test equipment
• Design and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality
• Analyze existing processes and implement improvements using lean principles
• Develop and set up work centers to ensure smooth product flow
• Work hands-on with electro-mechanical assembly and machining equipment
• Partner with manufacturing engineers, quality teams, supervisors, and operators to boost productivity
• Participate in root-cause investigations and corrective actions
• Train machine operators on procedures and task-specific requirements
• Implement 5S and other lean initiatives
• Review and improve labor standards and production processes
• Support operators at the bench level to increase performance and quality
• Utilize and update ERP/Assembly Planner systems as needed
The Ideal Candidate MUST Have:
• Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (advanced degree a plus)
• 1–7 years of experience working with test equipment
• Experience in electro-mechanical or mechanical assembly, medical equipment, or related technical environments
• General knowledge of machine shop operations
• Experience with LEAN tools
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with creative problem-solving skills
