Press Helper
Job Description
Schulte Staffing is seeking motivated and reliable candidates for a 1st Shift Press Helper position with a growing manufacturing company. This is a great opportunity to join a team-oriented environment that values collaboration, innovation, and employee development. In this role, you will support both warehouse operations and printing press production, with a primary focus on material handling while gaining exposure across the production floor.
This is a temp to perm opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Serve in a dual warehouse and press support role
- Maintain a materials-first focus to ensure production needs are met efficiently
- Learn and support operations across the entire production floor
- Assist in printing press operations and warehouse logistics, including:
- Retrieving, staging, and putting away materials
- Managing inventory
- Loading trucks as needed
- Operating forklifts after training and certification
- Delivering materials, inks, and tooling to press operators
- Organizing inventory and materials
- Cleaning equipment and work areas
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace at all times
- Follow safety rules, operating instructions, and company procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to multitask, remain flexible, and demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals)
- Ability to read and interpret rulers, scales, and other measurement devices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently walk
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance
- Strong visual abilities, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Pay Range
$17 – $20 per hour DOE
