Job Description
Our client in the Peabody area is seeking Production Leads to oversee day-to-day production activities and guide a team toward achieving operational goals. This role combines hands-on production work with leadership responsibilities, making it ideal for a results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Working Hours:
- 1st Shift: Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday from 1:30 PM - 12:00 AM (10-hour days)
Compensation:
- $25.00 - $32.00 Hourly, depending on experience
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead and motivate a team of production workers, ensuring efficiency and productivity
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet and exceed output targets
• Actively participate in product assembly, ensuring quality and workflow efficiency
• Oversee production floor operations, troubleshooting issues in real time
• Train and develop team members to enhance skills and improve performance
• Monitor and maintain production equipment to minimize downtime
• Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, enforcing safety regulations
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards (ISO, safety regulations)
• Lead problem-solving efforts using root cause analysis to resolve recurring production issues
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to optimize production processes
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow and reduce waste
• Track and report performance metrics, providing insights to leadership
• Plan and adjust work schedules as needed to meet production goals
Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3-5 years of production experience, including leadership roles
• Hands-on experience in assembly; experience with epoxy bonding, grinders, and drill presses preferred
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with a track record of driving team performance
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control principles, and lean manufacturing/continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs as required
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics or SAP is a plus
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
