Job Description
Schulte Staffing Solutions is currently partnering with a well-established, family-run textile design and distribution company in Middleton, MA. This organization services some of the largest furniture manufacturers and retailers across North America and is known for its commitment to quality, design, and customer satisfaction.
As the company continues to grow, they are seeking a Production Manager to lead their Sample Production team and support increasing customer demand and upcoming trade shows.
About the Role
Fabric samples are a critical part of the company’s marketing and sales process, helping customers’ design and buying teams select products for seasonal offerings.
The Production Manager will oversee daily operations within the Sample Production Department, ensuring timely delivery, high-quality output, and efficient team performance. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and utilize internal reporting systems for order creation, data entry, and reporting
- Manage and lead a team of 8+ employees responsible for stitching, cutting, and assembling sample packages
- Assign daily and project-based tasks to meet customer demands, internal needs, and trade show deadlines
- Prioritize workflows based on seasonal production cycles and business needs
- Track inventory and coordinate product replenishment from warehouse or incoming shipments
- Initiate and monitor fabric abrasion testing and ensure accurate data tracking
- Maintain quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing or supervising a team of 8+ employees
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to adapt quickly and pivot based on changing customer needs
- Experience with hiring, coaching, and performance management
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Comfortable using power tools such as electric shears
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required to effectively communicate with team members
Preferred Skills
- Passion for customer satisfaction and product quality
- Interest in textiles, design, or home décor
- Experience with sewing machines (straight stitch or similar)
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs for equipment
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (On-site)
Compensation
- $62,000 – $70,000 annually (based on experience)
