Job Description


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our production team. This individual will oversee the operation and maintenance of filling line equipment, ensure the quality of products, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards.

Working Hours and Pay Rate:
  • Monday – Friday
  • 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • $18.00 - $20.00 DOE
Responsibilities
Filling Line Operations:
  • Complete pre-run checklists thoroughly before starting operations.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks for all lines and products, including visual inspection, smell, weight, label position, and cap tightness every 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Stop the production line for any QA infractions.
  • Perform random checks of finished goods on pallets to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor proper cleaning of all filling line equipment and maintain clean workstations.
  • Oversee proper cleaning of all processing equipment.
  • Reject compromised batches and document findings.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to batching protocols.
Facility Sanitation and Maintenance:
  • Perform facility checks twice daily to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
  • Ensure no cleanout buckets or drums are left on filling lines.
  • Maintain cleanliness of filling lines and related equipment.
  • Conduct daily checks of employee lunchrooms and bathrooms to maintain hygiene standards.
  • QA product weights, fill levels, label position, and other specifications every 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Collaborate with the team to address and resolve QA issues promptly
Employee Training and Oversight:
  • Train employees in workplace safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor employees to ensure proper product handling and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and proper employee attire, including:
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in mechanical operations, maintenance, or QA roles, preferably in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
  • Knowledge of production equipment such as filling machines, product labelers, and heat sealers.
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning, safety, and quality protocols.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
