Quality Control Inspector - 1st Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring products meet quality standards by inspecting materials, components, and finished goods. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Location: Peabody, MA
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $26–$32/hour (DOE)
Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products for quality and accuracy
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Document inspection results and report any defects or discrepancies
- Perform first article inspections and support production teams
- Identify and report non-conforming materials
- Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve quality issues
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have previous machine shop and/or sheet metal experience
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
