Job Description

Our client in the Peabody is seeking a Bilingual Quality Control Technician to work in their food production facility.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday from 5:00am - 1:30pm or 6:00am - 2:30pm

Compensation: $22.00 - $26.00 hourly

Summary
The ideal candidate has worked in a food manufacturing environment; is able to read, write and communicate in Spanish;  has computers skills and has high school education or a career in a related area.  This candidate will evaluate materials and products to ensure that they are at a level of quality that is acceptable by our award winning client food standards.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Daily work consists of a variety of testing, calibration, documentation, and improvement work.
  • Document results and analyze data.
  • Conduct internal shelf-life testing and work with our outside lab.
  • Operate, maintain, clean, troubleshoot and calibrate laboratory equipment.
  • Communicate with production personnel and Quality manager.
  • Stop production if product defects are present.
  • Conduct retesting of product as needed to support quality investigations.
  • Monitor use and inventory of laboratory chemicals and supplies.
  • Maintain calibration and other lab-related documentation.
  • Review technological advances and regulatory standards and stay abreast of issues in the field.
  • Make recommendations for adjusting process conditions to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Adhere to safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain good housekeeping to ensure laboratory and plant cleanliness.
  • Assist in vacation and sick time relief coverage.
