About the Role:
The Saw Operator plays a key role in the manufacturing process by operating saw machinery to cut raw materials to exact specifications. This position ensures quality, accuracy, and efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor saw machinery to cut materials per job specifications and blueprints
- Set up equipment including blade selection, alignment, and calibration
- Inspect materials and finished cuts for accuracy and quality
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Work closely with the production team to meet daily goals
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating saws or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Ability to read blueprints and measurement specifications
- Strong attention to detail and safety
Preferred:
- Experience with CNC saws or automated cutting equipment
- Familiarity with durable goods manufacturing
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work overtime as needed
