Job Description
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay Rate:
$24.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Establish priorities for shipping, receiving, and stocking materials and products
- Track all inbound and outbound shipments, products, materials, and supplies
- Promptly unload trucks, sort received materials, and stock inventory
- Pick materials for shipment, palletize, wrap, and prepare shipping paperwork
- Coordinate loading of materials and products onto trucks and ensure all paperwork is completed and signed
- Communicate with truck dispatchers to arrange pickups
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure proper hazmat placards are in place
- Work with the Corporate EHS Director to verify containers have correct hazmat labels and placards prior to shipment
- Maintain accurate inventory through scanning, counting, and daily movement tracking
- Engage with vendors and drivers in a professional and positive manner
- Coordinate daily shipments with the Logistics Manager and Supervisor
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including sweeping, pallet debris cleanup, plastic wrap removal, operating a floor washer, and cleaning common areas such as restrooms
- Follow all safety procedures and make safety a top priority
- Other duties as assigned
- Proven experience in Shipping and Receiving
- Must be able to speak English or English as a second language
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and sense of urgency
- Forklift certification or ability to successfully complete forklift recertification
- Experience operating Class I sit-down electric and Class II stand-up narrow aisle forklifts preferred
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50+ pounds
- Familiar with common warehouse tools and equipment
- Comfortable using a computer for data entry and printing
- ERP scan gun experience preferred or willingness to learn
- Experience receiving, stocking, sorting, and stacking materials
- Reliable transportation
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Class I Sit down electric & Class II Stand up narrow isle Forklift Certification.
