Job Description
Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate for a unique opportunity with a stable and growing manufacturing company. This position offers a diverse blend of shipping and receiving, purchasing support, customer service, administrative responsibilities, and light manufacturing work. Pay: $23.00 - $25.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive supplies, tools, and materials accurately and efficiently
- Prepare completed jobs for shipment to customers and in-process jobs for shipment to suppliers
- Package, load, and unload shipments by hand or using a forklift
- Complete shipping and receiving documentation, including UPS, FedEx, bills of lading, international shipping, and customer paperwork
- Enter shipping and receiving data into the ERP system accurately and in a timely manner
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries with vendors and carriers
- Build wooden shipping crates using hand and power tools as needed
- Monitor office supply inventory and place orders as needed
- Request quotes from approved suppliers and follow up on orders
- Create and manage purchase orders for materials and operational needs
- Generate and update sales orders and internal quotes
- Maintain organized records, files, and documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers and vendors via phone and email
- Provide general administrative support as needed
- Disassemble and clean parts returned for repair
- Assemble components using machine screws and engineering drawings
- Support production operations as needed
- Assist with additional clerical and operational tasks
- Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies
- Communicate issues, delays, or concerns to management promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
- Work collaboratively with multiple departments throughout the facility
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver's License required
- Previous experience in shipping & receiving, warehouse operations, purchasing, customer service, administrative support, or manufacturing preferred
- ERP experience (Epicor or similar systems) is a plus
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and ERP systems
- Strong data entry and keyboarding skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the day
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments
- Ability to work a standard 40-hour work week with occasional overtime
