Job Description


Schulte Staffing is looking for skilled Press Brake Operators for a growing manufacturing company 15 minutes from Haverhill, MA.

Press Brake Operators are responsible for producing parts and tools from metal using a press brake, a CNC (computer numeric controlled) piece of equipment that makes precision bends, punches, or cuts into material.

Hours and Pay Rate:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Pay Rate: $24.00+ p/hr DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Operate press brake machinery to bend, form, or straighten metal sheets and plates according to specifications.
  • Adjust the machine to control speed and ensure it is set up correctly to produce quality products.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, and inspect fabricated parts to ensure they match specifications.
  • Understand and perform proper setup for each unit and safely operate equipment and machinery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and take proper care of all equipment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Meet or exceed production targets as directed by the supervisor and work collaboratively with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Follow safety rules, wear required PPE, and adhere to company policies.
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a related role.
  • Experience with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel is preferred.
  • Ability to use calipers, squares, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to read blueprints are essential.
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. Exposure to loud noises and manufacturing machinery, including forklifts, is to be expected.
  • High School diploma or GED is preferred.
Physical & Environmental Conditions:
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, and kneel without difficulty.
  • Repeatedly lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to loud noises and working around forklift traffic and other manufacturing machinery.
