Welder (MIG/TIG)
Job Description
Schulte Staffing Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Welder for a growing manufacturing company in Georgetown, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with MIG and/or TIG welding experience who is looking to join a stable team-focused environment with long-term growth potential.
Position Summary
The Welder is responsible for fitting and welding steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel components using MIG and/or TIG welding processes. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
$25.00–$30.00 per hour DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Set up welding machines and equipment based on production requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components
- Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards are met
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions, grooves, and angles
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience
- Experience welding steel, aluminum, and/or stainless steel preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Welding certifications are a plus
- Basic math and measurement skills required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Ability to independently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, fumes, and machinery exposure
